This is the Great Big Bird Watch week so P3 thought it was the prefect time to conduct our seed cake experiment. We wanted to find out what makes the best bird seed cakes. They are made by mixing seeds and fats together. We choose mixed seeds or sunflower seeds and had three types of fats. We made the seed cakes by melting the fats pouring them over the different seeds and then let them harden up again. We guessed which ones would work best. We then took them out of the moulds to see which mixture stayed together. We recorded our results.
